2023 Travel Recap — Japan

Osaka · Takayama · Kyoto · Nagoya

Landed at Kansai International Airport, In November 2023, I traveled to Japan with a tour guide and my aunts, landing at Kansai International Airport. The airport wasn’t as big as I had imagined, but it felt calm, efficient, and easy to navigate—a smooth and understated start to the journey. We traveled domestically by bus, following the route Osaka → Takayama → Kyoto → Nagoya, watching cities slowly transition into countryside, mountains, and autumn scenery.

Osaka — First Impressions & Food

We visited Osaka Castle, but that day felt like a tourist trap—crowded and rushed—so we decided not to go inside. Instead, we took photos from below and admired the castle from the outside. We also explored Kuromon Market, often called “Osaka’s Kitchen,” filled with fresh seafood and street food. In Shinsaibashi, we enjoyed an unforgettable meal of Taraba (king) crab, rich, fresh, and deeply satisfying.

Korankei & Takayama — Autumn to Winter

Another day took us to Korankei, following the famous Golden Route of autumn foliage. The leaves were changing color beautifully, and we walked across the landmark Taigetsukyo Bridge, surrounded by red, orange, and golden scenery.

In Takayama, often called Little Kyoto

We enjoyed shopping along the old streets and admiring traditional wooden houses. I also experienced onsen for the first time, which was incredibly relaxing and unforgettable. On the mountain tops, I saw the first snowfall of the season. During this part of the trip, I experienced a dramatic temperature swing—from about 12°C during the day down to -1°C in colder areas. Autumn still filled the valleys, while winter quietly arrived in the mountains. I also enjoyed winter Fuji apples—crisp, juicy, and perfectly sweet.

Shirakawa-go — Timeless Beauty

The next day, we visited Shirakawa-go, a UNESCO World Heritage village. The traditional gasshō-zukuri houses felt untouched by time, set in a peaceful and quiet landscape.

Kyoto — Tradition & Memory

In Kyoto, we visited Kiyomizu-dera, also known as “the Pure Water Temple.” Standing on the wooden stage overlooking the city felt calm and timeless. We also walked through the endless Torii gates at Fushimi Inari, one of the most iconic and memorable sights of the journey.

Nagoya — Light & Romance

In Nagoya, we experienced the Nabana no Sato Winter Illumination 2023–2024. Millions of lights decorated the gardens, creating glowing tunnels and vast illuminated landscapes. The atmosphere was magical, romantic, and unforgettable—one of the most beautiful nights of the entire trip.

Reflection

This 2023 journey through Japan became a passage through seasons, places, and shared moments. From autumn leaves to first snow, from lively food markets to quiet villages, it was a trip filled with contrast and warmth. It wasn’t just about the destinations—it was about traveling together, moving slowly, and creating memories that continue to stay with me.

เดินทางถึงสนามบินนานาชาติคันไซ ใน เดือนพฤศจิกายน 2023 ฉันเดินทางไปญี่ปุ่นพร้อมไกด์ทัวร์และคุณน้า โดยลงที่สนามบินนานาชาติคันไซ สนามบินไม่ได้ใหญ่มากอย่างที่คิด แต่เงียบ เป็นระเบียบ และเดินทางสะดวก เป็นการเริ่มต้นทริปที่ราบรื่นมาก เราเดินทางภายในประเทศ ด้วยรถบัส ตามเส้นทาง โอซาก้า → ทาคายามะ → เกียวโต → นาโกย่า ได้ชมวิวเมือง ชนบท และภูเขาที่ค่อย ๆ เปลี่ยนไปตามฤดูใบไม้ร่วง

โอซาก้า — ความประทับใจแรกและอาหาร

เราแวะชม ปราสาทโอซาก้า แต่วันนั้นบรรยากาศค่อนข้างเป็นกับดักนักท่องเที่ยว เลยไม่ได้เข้าไปด้านใน แค่ถ่ายรูปจากด้านล่างและชื่นชมความงามจากภายนอก เราเดินเล่นที่ ตลาดคุโรมง หรือ “ครัวของโอซาก้า” เต็มไปด้วยอาหารทะเลสดและสตรีทฟู้ด และที่ ชินไซบาชิ ได้ทาน ปูทาราบะ (King Crab) มื้อที่ทั้งสด อร่อย และน่าจดจำมาก

โครังเค & ทาคายามะ — จากฤดูใบไม้ร่วงสู่ฤดูหนาว

อีกวันหนึ่งเราไป โครังเค ตามเส้นทางใบไม้เปลี่ยนสีที่เรียกว่า Golden Route ใบไม้เปลี่ยนสีสวยงามมาก และได้เดินข้ามสะพานแลนด์มาร์ก สะพานไทเกะสึเคียว ท่ามกลางใบไม้สีแดง ส้ม และทอง

ที่ ทาคายามะ (ลิตเติลเกียวโต)

เราเดินช้อปปิ้งในย่านเมืองเก่า ชมบ้านไม้โบราณ และได้แช่ ออนเซ็นครั้งแรกในชีวิต ซึ่งผ่อนคลายและประทับใจมาก บนยอดเขา ฉันได้เห็น หิมะแรกของฤดูกาล และสัมผัสการเปลี่ยนแปลงของอุณหภูมิจากประมาณ 12°C ลดลงถึง -1°C ฤดูใบไม้ร่วงยังคงอยู่ในหุบเขา ขณะที่ฤดูหนาวเริ่มมาเยือนอย่างเงียบ ๆ ฉันยังได้ลิ้มลอง แอปเปิลฟูจิฤดูหนาว ที่กรอบ ฉ่ำ และหวานมาก

ชิราคาวาโกะ — ความงามเหนือกาลเวลา

วันถัดมา เราไป ชิราคาวาโกะ หมู่บ้าน มรดกโลกของยูเนสโก บ้านทรงกัสโชสึคุริให้ความรู้สึกราวกับกาลเวลาหยุดนิ่ง ท่ามกลางบรรยากาศที่สงบและเรียบง่าย

เกียวโต — วัฒนธรรมและความทรงจำ

ที่ เกียวโต เราไปเยือน วัดคิโยมิสึ (วัดน้ำใส) ยืนบนระเบียงไม้ชมวิวเมืองอย่างสงบ และเดินผ่าน เสาโทริอิ นับไม่ถ้วนที่ ฟุชิมิอินาริ ซึ่งเป็นภาพที่น่าประทับใจมาก

นาโกย่า — แสงไฟและความโรแมนติก

ที่ นาโกย่า เราได้ชม Nabana no Sato Winter Illumination 2023–2024 แสงไฟนับล้านประดับทั่วทั้งสวน บรรยากาศสวยงาม โรแมนติก และน่าประทับใจ เป็นหนึ่งในค่ำคืนที่งดงามที่สุดของทริป

การสะท้อนความรู้สึก

การเดินทางในปี 2023 ครั้งนี้ คือการเดินทางผ่านฤดูกาล วัฒนธรรม และช่วงเวลาที่ได้ใช้ร่วมกับครอบครัว จากใบไม้เปลี่ยนสีสู่หิมะแรก จากเมืองที่คึกคักสู่หมู่บ้านอันเงียบสงบ เป็นความทรงจำที่ยังคงอยู่กับฉันเสมอ
